Review of Our Future Glory on the Seedlings stage at Belladrum, 9th of August, 2014.
First up, what a bunch of very fine young men, warm and friendly with great personalities. They love what they’re doing, it’s an utterly infectious kaleidoscopic synth based backdrop with driving bass and drums.
Hooks, melodies, riffs and fine vocals aplenty. Rolling out the clichés of it’s indie, it’s anthemic, really doesn’t do any justice to the unadulterated energy that goes into the performance and the ingenious alchemy that generates their music, their sound.
At goNorth they were signed to a hefty label and talking to them it seems certain ‘things are going to be happening’ – and soon I hope. I missed them at goNorth but those who were there gave them rave reviews and folk are still talking about ‘that set’: now I know why.
The Seedlings tent was exceptional this evening and Our Future Glory were a massive part of that.
