Belladrum 2014 announce “line-up” for The Burke & Hair, a new steampunk real ale pub theatre.

The Burke & Hair will share the same area as Free Range Folk Stage
The new addition to the Walled Garden area of Bella is also home to the Free Range Stage which will play host to acts including The Whiskys and Miichael Cassidy.

The Burke & Hair will host beer from eight Highlands & Islands craft breweries and the bar has been curated by the Highlands & Western Isles branch of Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA). Entertainment for the venue will come from Evanton based Arts In Motion and is “full of weird and wonderful music and theatre”.

Festival promoter Joe Gibbs identified that Belladrum 2014 is building on the success of working with other breweries; “Besides the ever-popular Back Isle Brewery Grassroots bar and stage, it is great to be able to showcase the fantastic range of beers that are brewed all over the Highlands as part of our commitment to promoting local food and drink.”

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
