The Black Isle Brewery and The Cheese Pantry have announced “Beer, Cheese and Tunes” on the grounds of the Black Isle Brewery on the 26th of July, 2014.
Building on the success of Jocktoberfest , the event brings together two of Scotland’s finest organic producers. Black Isle Brewery and The Cheese Pantry at Connage to match delicious organic beer and cheese with a collection of (mostly) local musical acts for the event.
The event is a great opportunity to sample the produce of the two businesses and learn how beer and cheese are made, whilst enjoying an array of musical talent.
Most recently announced are headliners The Whiskys, who are certainly back on the local scene with a bang after recently playing the Jocktaster and supporting The Levellers in Wick. Have a look at our article when we spoke to the band very very recently. Also announced is Toby Michaels, who even without his Rolling Damned, has been known to kick up a storm including a selection of covers and material from the band.
Also included in the line-up for the event are Maryann Frew & Liza Mulholland of Dorec-a-belle, in the band’s full form they have certainly won hearts and minds, one reviewer (when they supported Magic Numbers at The Ironworks) declared “The blend of their harmonising all female vocals and irresistibly catchy songs made me want to ditch the formulation seating and start dancing”.
Esperi , aka multi-instrumentalist Chris James Marr, appears perfectly whimsical in his description “He uses a host of instruments from the conventional to the unusual including his signature rainbow-coloured bells, which he plays with his feet! He writes about his home, his dogs and his family.”
Dr Wook, who had a consistantly impressive gig at goNORTH 21014, returns to the venue following previous gigs as front man for The Whiskys. They will be joined by for Square One and Neon Knights member, Douglas Scott.
