Fraser for Roots & Cheroots

Former regular member of the Dougie Maclean band, Fraser Anderson plays the Roots & Cheroots event at Ig:lu on the 30th of April.

fraserHis most recent CD ‘Little Glass Box’ saw him being described as “an impressive talent following his own muse and defying foolish and blinkered genre typecasting” (full review).

His debut release promised much, but instead of building on the momentum, Fraser chose to move the south of France only to return to the UK late last year.

There is no surprise that he has won the attentions of the likes of Bob Harris,Zoe Ball, Iain Anderson and Tom Morton.

The forthcoming gig is part of his eleven date “Driving Miss Daisy” Tour that will take him from Ullapool to Birmingham, concluding at the Edinburgh TradFest on the 9th of May.

Tickets and further details available via the Ig:lu website.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
