The Stranglers are celebrating 40 years, yes 40 years! From the end of February and throughout March, the band will undertake a ’Ruby Anniversary’ tour across the UK consisting of a massive 22 dates.
The Stranglers need no introduction. Making their mark in the early punk era, the band demonstrated over the years that they would not be limited by their origins and musically they evolved over multiple albums. Although Hugh Cornwell left the band in 1990, they have retained a relatively stable core, and as such fans will be able to recall all their favourites including ‘Duchess’, ‘No More Heroes’ and ‘Golden Brown’ when they return to the Ironworks on Thursday 27th February. The date is part of the band’s itinerary for their 40th anniversary year. From the end of February and throughout March, the band will undertake a ’Ruby Anniversary’ tour across the UK consisting of a massive 22 dates.
As has become customary in recent years, the tour kicks off north of the border with a trio of Scottish dates in Inverness, Glasgow and Dunfermline before heading south.
