Slam – Inverness Ironworks Saturday December 28th

Techno legends Slam are making the trip up the A9 over the festive period to play Inverness Ironworks on Saturday 28th December.

Over the last two decades, Slam have been at the forefront of the Techno scene, not only in Scotland but in the UK and around the world. The legendary duo of Stuart McMillan and Orde Miekle have had a career that most DJ’s could only dream of. As well as having hits such as ‘Positive Education’ and ‘Eterna’, they have remixed tracks for established dance acts Daft Punk, Underworld, Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox.

On top of that, Slam have residencies in arguably three of the best clubs in the UK, The Arches and Sub Club in their hometown of Glasgow and also Fabric in London.

Slam 11 300x200 - Slam into the Festive periodFor the last 17 years, Slam have also curated the world famous Slam Tent at T in the Park, where the finest Techno and Electronic acts play year on year.

Not only that, but they also co-own Soma records who release tracks for some of the biggest hitters in Techno. The SlamRadio podcast which showcases some of the best names in Techno, is hugely popular and has several thousand dedicated followers on Soundcloud. These guys are no strangers to Inverness and they certainly know how to put on a show. This will be something that any dance music and techno enthusiast simply cannot miss.
