Monster FM DJ Showcase afterparty
Karma Lounge, Inverness
Friday 4th & Saturday 5th October
The Monster FM DJ Showcase has drawn to a close for another year, broadcasting 1 hour DJ mixes from the finest talent in Inverness and some from further afield. Folowing on from the massive success of the launch party and to celebrate a series of amazing and varied sets, Karma Lounge will host the DJ showcase afterparty over 2 nights this coming weekend.
On Friday night, kicking off the after party will be Bounce DJ’s Trojan, Revolt & Twigz with some Electro/Fidget. Following them will be Mastershake, who usually plays Ghetto Funk.
A welcome addition to the Monster FM DJ Showcase was The Underground Music Project show presented by Andy Stone. He will also be on Friday nights line up.
Digitized DJ’s Kojak & Dropz are also on the line up, showcasing their blend of Electro and Dubstep. Joining them will be Kaos Theory. As one half of popular local duo Soundclash, kaos Theory will be turning the bass levels up at Karma on Friday.
Headlining the night will be Ross Lyall and Andrew McGibbon, better known as Filth DJ’s. The ever popular duo have been hosting successful nights around Inverness for a number of years now, bringing massive dance acts to the city, acts such as Green Velvet, Erol Alkan and Vitalic to name a few. Their Monster FM is a banger and they will no doubt put on a great show this Friday.
Then on Saturday, starting the second night of the afterparty will be Let’s Go residents Stereo Crookz. The duo of Shaun Leonard and Ross Calder recently tore up Bogbain Farm with a banging set and their Monster FM set was superb too. Definitely a great excuse to arrive early.
Joining them will be Ashley Payne, aka, Boomshank Redemption. He has just returned from Ibiza and this will be his first gig back in Inverness. Having seen him support Clouds in the past, he will definitely be one to look foward to.
Alan Macpherson is another on Saturdays line up. Alan has a wealth of experience in the Inverness scene as part of Audiolife. He has supported some absolutely huge names in dance music, acts like Deadmau5, Dave Clarke and Gary Beck. Expect anything from house to techno from Alan.
Monster FM DJ Showcase producer Ally Ridgers will also be taking to the decks. Alongside his partner in crime Kaos Theory as part of Soundclash, they were another act who blew away Bogbain with a superb set. Ally’s own sets are just as good, so expect another great set from him.
Finishing off this afterparty line up is Polymath. He is another hugely talented producer who is from Inverness, and his DJ sets are of the same standard. Anything goes with Polymath, from funky house to techno. Polymath tops off an absolutely huge line up at Karma Lounge this weekend.
This weekend also see’s the launch of Karma Lounge’s brand new ‘Funky Buddah’ with Ally Ridgers, Alottarhythm and Alan Grant playing friday night and Kaos Theory and Mastershake playing on Saturday night.
Doors open at 10pm both nights. Friday night entry is £3 and Saturday night entry is £5.
Be sure and get down early on both nights to enjoy some great sets from some great DJ’s and also to support your local scene!
