1st of November sees the return of Church Street Hip Hop night with a strong line-up including Damaged Goodz and Loki.

Damaged Goodz, have a built up a more than impressive array of support slots including some of the very best names in Hip Hop including 50 Cent, Sugarhill Gang and The Game. Live sessions on Radio 1 and a strong back catalogue of work you can see why Damage Goodz have helped cement Scottish Hip Hop as a viable force in music in Scotland.

Gasp, Glasgow based emcee has recently released his  LP ‘A Series of Fortunate Misunderstandings’ described as “Avoiding macho posturing in favour of searing self-examination and vivid storytelling, it’s a triumph.” in an album review by The Skinny. Also on the line-up will be fellow member of The Being, Loki (see our recent interview with him) who is “one of Scotland’s most lyrically gifted writers and rappers”.

Also on the bill will be Becci Wallace and The Vandal

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
