Monster FM Soundclash DJ Showcase Launch Party – preview

Monster FM Dj Showcase Launch Party label 600x198 - Monster start at Karma

The Monster FM Soundclash DJ Showcase is almost upon us again after the success of last year’s show’s. This year it’s back, even bigger and better.

This Saturday  (31/08/2013), Karma Lounge, Inverness, will play host to the launch party of the showcase and will include six of the acts that are involved in this years showcase line up.

Soundclash and event’s team, Let’s Go have teamed up to bring us what is expected to be a huge night of DJ talent. Clubber’s will be treated to 5 hours of dance music from a variety of genre’s.

Karma resident and all round good guy Alottarhythm, will be kicking the night off. Alottarhythm, aka, Cisco Rodrigues, is a dance music enthusiast and a massive local scene supporter. His set will definitely be one to look forward to. Check out Alottarhythm’s mix for last years showcase ..

Joining Alottarhythm will be DJ and producer, Mark Mackenzie. As one half of popular local act Them & Us, Mark has received airplay on Radio 1’s BBC Introducing show. Definitely another to be down early for. Here is Mark’s Soundcloud ..

Also on the bill, fresh from last Saturday’s Let’s Go night, is Alan Grant. Alan had the Karma dance floor bouncing last weekend and I expect no less from him this Saturday night.

SoundClash member and Monster FM DJ showcase programmer Ally Ridgers is another DJ on this very strong line up. Having heard a few of his mixes before via his Sound cloud, this will definitely be a set to look forward to. Read his recent interview about the showcase.

Another act on this huge line up are We Own residents Jakk_it & Saizme. The duo who are regulars on the Edinburgh club scene, have already this year played Croatia’s Hideout Festival and headlined the Mother’s Ruin stage at Belladrum. These guys are not to be missed.

Headlining this massive launch party are popular Electronic act, Count Clockwork. Having played set’s at Rockness, Belladrum and as far afield as Belgium, Count Clockwork have also supported huge dance acts such as Boys Noize, A-Trak, 2manydjs & most recently, Avicii. Their latest tune “City of Gold”, is a banger and it indicates that Count Clockwork are on the verge of something special. Expect Karma to be bouncing with these guy’s. Check out City of Gold here ..

Also check out HMV Inverness on Thursday 29th August, 5pm – 7pm and Attic clothing on Saturday 31st August, 12pm – 3pm to check out some of the DJ’s involved in the showcase and to get a taster of what the night might hold.

Door’s open at 10pm and entry is £3 before Midnight and £5 after. Great value for what is on offer. This is one not to be missed.
