Let’s Go 8 – review 24/08/2013 Karma Lounge, Inverness.

A jam-packed Karma Lounge, 4 superb DJ’s and a fine selection of dance music could only mean one thing … Let’s Go were in town.

Let’s Go night’s are gaining in popularity, and it wasn’t hard to see why. From the moment the doors opened, there was a queue of eager clubbers, ready to let their hair down for Let’s Go’s End of Summer Party.

Welcoming the incoming revellers was DJ and Let’s Go founder, Jordan Cooper. Dropping tunes from Julio Bashmore to Joris Voorn and even Ce Ce Peniston, Jordan had the heads of the ever increasing crowd nodding. A good set of House tunes.

Aaron Russell was next up on the decks. From the moment his set began, the dance floor was crammed, the Karma crowd appreciating the fine deep house tune’s that Aaron had to offer. Playing track’s such as Mark Henning – ‘Trojan’ and a cracking remix of Breach – ‘Jack’, Aaron also displayed some very fine mixing skills. Definitely one to watch for in the future.

After Aaron Russell’s relentless set, you would have forgiven some for retreating for a break, but Alan Grant had other idea’s, nor did anyone want a break. Keeping the dance floor buzzing, Alan played some very nice Tech House, including Green Velvet’s – ‘Perculator’, side by side with funky house. Yet another great set from this local favourite.

The crowd were at boiling point when KAX, one half of Count Clockwork, took to the decks, and when he dropped his first track, the dance floor exploded! Starting with Hip hop, KAX fused that with some Electro House beats. An unexpected drop of Junior Senior – ‘move your feet’, continued to make the crowd go mental. Further remixes of ‘toca’s miracle’ and Green Velvet – ‘flash’ were also played, and when Ego Troopers – ‘polar’ was dropped, the Let’s Go crowd were turning the dance floor into a riot. Everyone was just going for it! As KAX’s set was coming to a close, he still had time to play Outkast – ‘Miss Jackson’ to give the night a great send off.

If last Saturday was anything to go by, then Let’s Go night’s are definitely going place’s and will certainly be a night for clubbers to look forward to, in Inverness, and much further afield.

Next up at The Karma Lounge is the Monster FM SoundClash DJ Showcase launch on the 31st of August, 2013.
