Coast to play free gig at Nellie Deans on Wednesday the 31st of July.
At somewhat short notice, the Southampton based, Celtic rockers stop by Inverness after a barn storming gig at Spey Fest over the weekend. The group make no secret of their love of the area with song writer Paul Eastham identifying the Highlands as the source of inspiration for many of the songs. From the emotionally charged ‘The Ghost of Dan the Boy’ to the rock sound of ‘The Caller’, Coast has the ability to “have you dancing, singing along and then silenced and stunned with their ballads.”
The band have also recently welcomed aboard bass player, Nick Tann, who is a solo artist in his own right who joins Andy Davey replace Steve Picken on lead guitar work earlier this year.
Whilst the release of the third album has been delayed, it had been anticipated for earlier in the year, the band have signed a global promotion of the album with Bluewater publishing in Nashville.
After the feedback from their weekend festival appearances, this will be the biggest gig to have hit Nellie Deans in quite some time and acts as perfect preparation for Belladrum weekend.
