The Hot Seats create an impressive blend of the virtuosic soloing and tightness of bluegrass, the band-driven rhythm of old time, the jerky bounce of ragtime, and the swagger of good old rock and roll.

Also described as a “bubbling fountain of virtuosic insanity”, the five piece have built a strong support in Scotland and the feeling is mutual with Josh Bearman from the band saying “”We have so many friends over here now that it feels a bit like coming home,” he said….We’re ready to party!”With that attitude it is unsurprising that they have played numerous festivals from Celtic Connections and Speyfest to a Herald Angel winning performance at the Edinburgh Fringe.

You will have the opportunity to buy their new EP consisting of tracks “leftover” from the well received 2012 release Feelir?t=wwwinvernessg 21&l=as2&o=2&a=B0092BABL6 - Take The Hot Seat(s).

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
