Furry Vengeance have been shortlisted in the Daily Record competition to play the main stage at Rockness 2013.
The band, with it’s own brand of indie pop with no small dose of cheese, are to be joined by 6 other acts on the short list to win the coveted spot. Last years two bands went through to play Rockness with So Many Animal Calls and People Places Maps getting the opportunity to share main stage billing with Biffy Clyro, Deadmau5 etc.
The shortlisting is made all the more impressive when considering that the band played it’s first gig at Christmas. When we spoke to them before the gig, lead singer, Barry Mackay said ; “I don’t want to get famous, I just want to play some f****** good gigs”. We guess Rockness might fit the bill then?
The selection of the act will be done by judging panel but of course every helps please go along to the Daily Record page and leave a comment.
