I Love to Boogie with T*Rextasy comes to the Ironworks, Inverness on the 15th of March.
T*Rextasy relive the magic of one of the most flamboyant and charismatic bands of the original glam rock era. Evolving from flower-power to glam-rock, T Rex had collected a series of Top Ten hits, including four number one singles.
As a tribute band T*Rextasy stands alone not only for longevity, having been together for 20 years, but as being the only authorised and endorsed tribute by Marc Bolan’s Catalogue Management. The tribute band’s lead singer is the self confessed Marc Bolan obsessed Danielz who has been described as an uncanny doppelganger of Bolan. Despite this, Danielz suggested that the success of the band is the separation between himself and Bolan, he explained in a recent interview “ I have always performed as myself, even though most people that come to see us see me as a ‘Marc’ character”.
The current tour has seen them play to sell out venues, emphasising the quality of the act and the unquenchable demand for the original material.
