Justice Never Sleeps will host their first electronic music night at The Eagle . Guests We See Aliens will be joined by JNS residents Esbjerg and Dounreay Beach Party.
This will be no normal electronic night, as these “DJ’s” will not be DJing and will be playing live music. We’ll let the Mark Mackenzie, from JNS, describe the concept:
“So here’s the deal – NO DJ’S will be playing, we will be having a strict no deck policy on this night. This is strictly live electronic music right down to the residents and for your entertainment we want to make things exciting by making sure each of the acts involved gives you as unique experience as possible. No set the same.”
Headlining the night will be We See Aliens. The duo perform less and less regularly in recent years, but are exceedingly good in their field, using one of the most impressive live set ups to have been seen in Inverness to date. They will be one not to miss, especially with one half, Robbie Dunsmore, programing all of the drums on his analogue drum machines. We See Aliens have in the past supported acts such as Fake Blood, Japanese Popstars and Erol Alkan. On speaking to Robbie before his support slot at FELIX DA HOUSECAT, there was a real sense that he was looking forward to going live again and building on his live performances.
Esbjerg (John Lees) is a producer with a great deal of experience in many fields. He has an impressive 3 residencies; One at SWG3 in Glasgow on their “Sham-Pain” night, one with Digital Disco, as well as with Justice Never Sleeps. He has presented on Sonar FM, Scotland’s premier dance music radio station and in the past has also performed in bands on several instruments. With his wide taste in music and experience, you can expect an interesting set from this 20 year old.
Finally on the bill is Dounreay Beach Party. Alias of one half of Them & Us, Mark Mackenzie will bring us a laid back set “without much care to the laws of conventional musical construction”. Making his second live performance after playing Hootananny last year.
Justice Never Sleeps live night will take place on Saturday 23rd February . Read the Justice Never Sleeps article here.
