Country “chicken pickin” superstar Albert Lee is coming to Inverness on the 27th of April 2013.

Famed for their incessant touring, Albert Lee and his band Hogan’s Heroes are bringing their show to Inverness Ironworks on Saturday 27th April 2013 as part of a European tour incorporating Germany, Holland, Austria, Switzerland and France as well as the UK.

Albert will need no introduction to country and rock fans – he is widely regarded to be one of the finest guitarists in the world. Albert’s biography is a who’s who of rock, blues and country dating back to the 60s. He has played with Everly Brothers, Blind Faith, Eric Clapton, Bill Wyman, Emmylou Harris… the list is endless.

He is often regarded to be the guitar player’s guitar player, but he has also written some great songs and recorded 30 plus solo records. The band’s current release is a DVD “Live at the Tivoli”.

It’s sure to be a great night for lovers of rock, country, guitar players and lovers of great music – so that’ll be all of us then!

Irn Bru, AC/DC and the Glasgow Apollo. That’s me. What does that tell you? That I’m an elderly classic rock lover with a rubbish diet.I’ve lived in the Highlands for last 20 years and am a music fan – anything with a chorus; everything from Taylor Swift and Girls Aloud to the aforementioned AC/DC and Biffy Clyro. I’ve played guitar and sung in bands most of my adult life, including everything from punk to ceilidh to rock. It’s all a joy. I’ve got to say I really like working for Inverness Gigs – I’ll be the one at the Ironworks drinking the Irn Bru! You can contact Jim directly at
