First up will be the highlands pop punk/metal foursome Spoke Too Soon. These young guys only started gigging last year and have had a promising start to their musical creations. With their riffs, breakdowns, catchy choruses and angsty lyrics they are sure to start the evening off with a great mood.

Next up Toecutter, an Invernesian metal band who draw their influences from bands such as System of a Down, Therapy? and the Deftones. Toecutter who will be performing some of their best material to date, have gone from strength to strength since forming in 2008. A mere 4 months after they formed they came 3rd in  the Scottish heats of a global battle of the bands contest, proving that these guys have got what it takes to achieve success.

Fans of Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse and Decapitated will not be disappointed when exciting and vibrant death metal outfit S.C.U.M takes to the stage. S.C.U.M who hail from Glasgow but who features Inverness ex Seed of Sorrow vocalist Matt Drum, promise to deliver ear shattering brutal music and is not for the fainthearted!

Finally headlining the event are local champions of old school rock riffs Swamp Radio, who recently supported the legendary Scottish rockers Nazareth. The quartet who get their influences from 70s metal will likely surprise you with their blend of psychedelic and progressive style talent and should round of the evening nicely.

So please go and see these guys and support the local rock/metal scene and you can mosh and head bang till you ache. Tickets are only priced at £3 and doors are open 7PM. Tickets are available via www.IronworksVenue.com or representatives of any of the bands,

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
