Inverness Gigs looks at the Rob Ellen curated fringe event which kick off on the 20th of July.

Described as “the best two weeks to tour the Highlands if your a musician or music fan” the fringe will reaches from Aberdeen to Cumbernauld via Fort William. A diverse range of venues will be used including a light house, a tree house, and of course a Greenhouse.

Four piece, Highland Hot club kick off proceedings in the Nevis Hotel, Fort William with their gypsy jazz styling. The fringe will also include Davy Cowan, Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys,Oxbow Lake Band, Viper Central, Texas Tim Scott and Matt Morrow. Full details here.

The fringe will also see the 11th annual charity Bar B Q which will be held at The Greenhouse Dingwall for the first time.The 12 hour event will will see an eclectic range of acts take to the stage. Details here.
