First off, and heavily tipped following their comments to the T in the Park crowd, are Welsh rockers The Blackout. Gavin Butler, who recently appeared at the Ironworks as part of an acoustic tour, will be bringing his bands mate up to Bella.

Also announced are The Milk, bound to appease those that enjoyed Eli Paperboy Reid’s performance last year. The Essex boys were described by Paul Lester of The Guardian as Having “ the horns and the hooks, the handclaps and the call-and-response vocals. Now all they need are the soul bags and the mad manifestos”.

Willie Campbell & The Open Day Rotation will also play Bella.Their new album, ‘Toxic Good Toxic Bad’ has just recently been released. The fourth band announced is Highlands very own KOBI, fresh of their Rockness appearance, the band are releasing thier debut single ‘ Fight’ on the 16th of July. The set will see an augmented KOBI with the addition of trumpet player Doug Hutchison and trombone player Andrew Morgan (both members of popular Highland funk act Leonard Jones Potential).  This new addition will produce a fresh and edgy collaboration perfect for a summer festival line up.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
