Newton Faulkner to play the Ironworks , Inverness on the 4th of October, 2012

NF thumb - Newton Faulkner returns to The Ironworks
Newton Faulkner is bringing his soulful and heartfelt acoustic blues to the Highlands later this year. Newton will be incorporating a tour of the Highlands and Islands into a 14 date UK wide tour.

Newton was a firm crowd favourite with young and old after a stonking main stage set at Belladrum 2011. The show is destined to sell out. Newton’s longer shows, as opposed to festival sets include crowd singalongs, great stories and an easy friendly interaction with the audience. As well as classic debut single “Dream catch me”, we can expect inspired covers “Teardrop”, “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Superstition as well as newer material.

While Newton is without doubt a guitar virtuoso, he is also an immensely likeable guy who writes great songs that strike a chord with listeners. Newton released a new EP “Sketches” on Monday 21 May with a new full length effort to come in a rumoured couple of months. This will be Newton’s third CD following classic earlier works Handbuilt By Robots (2007) and Rebuilt By Humans (2009).

Newton Faulkner plays the Ironworkks on Thursday 4 October. Tickets are on sale from Friday 25 May at 9am. Tickets available via www.IronworksVenue.com..To see  other Ironworks related news, please click here.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
