Up until now this festival has been given a particularly low profile, but we wanted to shout from the rafters that Inverness now has a Comedy Festival. The festival said “ It’s time we had a laugh …Cue – Happyness, an exciting new comedy festival that’s kicking off this year in Inverness.”

A range of acts will be coming (or returning) to town including Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran, Fred MacAulay, Ardal O’Hanlon, Mark Nelson, Rob Becket, Hannah Gadesby, Patrick Monahan, and Jarred Christmas.

Primarily hosted at both stages of Eden Court Theatre, events will also be held at Hootananny. Tickets range in price from £8-£20 and are available from Happyness Inverness Comedy Festival Tickets.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
