Glasvegas announced for The Big Stooshie 2012, Fife.
Glasvegas have been announced as the Saturday night headliner, joining James as the Friday night headliner ( see The Big Stooshie announces Headliner James), for the Fife charity music festival.
Glasvegas came to the notice of the music world on the release of their self titled album, which churned out anthems such as “Daddy’s Gone” and “Go Square Go”. They were last seen in the Highlands playing Rockness 2011 where they clearly continued to wow and gain plaudits: “Euphoric//Heartbreak” received much critical acclaim with Daily Record declaring it their album of the year and NME awarding it 9/10.
Glasvegas and Ocean Colour Scene Acoustic will be joining an incredible line-up of nearly 60 live acts including James, The Damned, The Hoosiers see .Early Bird for The Big Stooshie for more details (although the early bird deal has now gone)
“We are delighted at securing these acts”, says director Jim Russell, “For the first year of any festival to have a line-up like this is completely unheard of. Plus it’s all for a great cause”. The bill may be filling up, but the organisers remain light tipped and have refused to rule out the addition of further acts.
The announcement comes on the same week that the festival announced three headliners for its second stage. Top festival acts The Nature Boys, The Law and The Draymin are all confirmed to bring the Kingdom FM stage to a close on each of the nights.
