The Belladrum 2012 announcement not worth one but three pages!!
Following on from the headliners, Frightened Rabbit, have announced that Belladrum 2012 will be an exclusive Scottish festival appearance, making good their promise to come to Bella after having to disappoint fans last year due to touring commitments in the US. If you are keen to see them before you might want to catch them when they come to Strathpeffer (see Frightened Rabbit to play Highland Tour).
They will be joined by “ Queen of Soul” Beverly Knight who has collaborated with the likes of Prince, Bryan Adams and even Take That. 2011 saw the release of her 7th studio album ‘Soul UK”, a collection of British Soul covers.
New York based, Californian rockers, We are Scientists are also announced for Belladrum 2012. The Blog Paper described that “what We Are Scientists bring to the gig playing table is charisma, humour (albeit a little warped and twisted at times) and an honest indie pop party.” (Full We are Scientists Review)
Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor aka Slow Club, bring their brand of folk rock to the party, following the release of their, second album ‘Paradise’, last year. Also supporting the genre will be singer, songwriter and guitaritst Fink.
The Black Isle Brewery Grassroots Stage will see Juan Zelada, Ryan Keen Bastille and To Kill A King.Found elsewhere at the festival will be Treacherous Orchestra, Nina Nesbitt, Stanley “Think of a Number” Odd and Fatherson (for a recent interview see Fatherson talk to invernessGiGs).
And yes The Dangleberries will be playing (see The Dangleberries talk to invernessGiGs).
