Openers for the night will be relative new comers Purple Divide (interviewed by invernessGiGs late last year – Purple Divide Introduced). The band had been getting very excitable over the past few days and we believe this to be the first time they have played the Ironworks.

Main support, and the first time you can see the band in the Ironworks this year, is none other than Last Summer Effect. The band have have had a busy 2011 with a  collection of eclectic support slots (letlive and The Dykeenies), Festival appearances (Belladrum, Jocktoberfest) and even managing a few acoustic sets. 2012 will show no let up in their tenacity.

Passion – Last Summer Effect

Great opportunity to experience Fatherson’s raucous and exuberant sound and to support local bands.

Tickets can be bought now via www.ironworksvenue.com.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
