James Mackenzie has just announced that he will be joining forces with Belfast duo The 1930s for a co-headline UK tour opening in Edinburgh on February 9.
The seven date outing will support his forthcoming acoustic mini-album Curtain Road, which is scheduled for release on February 7, which was produced by Grammy Award winner Steve Orchard. James described the recording as “definitely my strongest material to date and I just can’t wait to get it out there.”
The 1930s (Andrew Cameron and Jonny Solari) have taken the Belfast scene by storm with folky hooks, infectious melodies and captivating live shows. The duo were recently invited by MTV to perform at the EMA’s, and with a single and album scheduled for next year along with a string of high profile fans including Carl Barât and Mumford and Sons.
