Around this time last year we were recommending that folk see Samantha Begg play the Market Bar. This year with a change of format the sentiment is the same, whilst the venue has changed and the line up has been extended.

Little Sisters has evolved from the relationship between Samantha and Barry Mackay that saw them play a few gigs very early in the year (our apologies if we have missed something). Initially added to the mix was singer songwriter Megan Blyth (an interview from whom is forthcoming) who has been working hard to build her profile in her area, winning acclaim everywhere she goes. Regular musical associates of  Barrys, Andrew Stewart on bass and the drumming of Tom Fullerton, complete the mix.

Whilst the music of the band is currently under wraps, it is described as “an array of ‘feel good’ bouncy songs bound to get any audience on the dance floor.” An intriguing proposition to say the least, with the live set of predominantly original material.

Little Sisters to officially debut at Madhatters on the 23rd of December at Madhatters, as support to Always the Sixth.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
