The Wildflowerz, it is fair to say, have evolved since their inception in 2008 from a studio project created by Mark Allison (formerly of Rainland). On the way they have developed an edgier, harder sound, moving from their acoustic roots, and now consist of Mark Allison (rhythm guitar/vocals),Sarah MacKay (lead vocals), Dave Mackenzie (lead guitar/vocals), David MacIntosh (drums/vocals), and Joe MacRae (bass).

The Wildflowerz popularity has seen them become number one in the ReverbNation Rock charts for Inverness, has also resulted in them being approached to be  part of a compilation CD in the States, for which negotiations are still on-going.

nice video btw!

The Wildflowerz will be playing Ceol-Mor on the 7th of May, which will be their first full gig of the year (following a short set at Madhatters in February).

I want to believe, I want to see for myself…..

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
