One of the new additions to the Belladrum setup is the Highland Environmental Networks Free Range Folk Stage (sponsored by the Climate Challenge Fund. We have been told that there will be one or two tweaks but the line up is a very strong mix of local talent with a heavy folk leaning.
Headlining the stage on the Friday night, and they will be keeping us away from the main stage is “committed the craic” Black Rock Ceilidh Band. The Friday night will also see one of the most talked about bands of the moment Dorec- a –belle and one of the most enthusiastic Last Summer Effect. Friday’s collossal bill is completed with Adrian Telfer , Corralach, Graham Bell, Ghillie dhu folk band, Alice Bentley, Ally McLeod and Donald Forbes, Corey Symonds, Lilian Ross and Malina McDonald with Rory Campbell and opening with Jamie Reid.
It is the beautiful and gorgeous Ashley Mackay who headlines with her band on Saturday night. Supported by Maria Hall in the Maria Hall Band. A wee bit further down the bill, but thank goodness he is playing is Graham Brown (yes that one) and the amazing talent of Megan Blyth. They will be accompanied by RONA, Fiona McKenzie, Emily McKinnon, Waiting for Bruce, Sarah Jane Thomson and Malcolm Cumming.
It certainly says a lot about the music scene and (the bookers for the stage) that there is so much quality on offer. We are officially excited about Bella!
