Pre-Oxjam gig this weekend 16/10/2010

It’s fair to say that invernessGiGs has more than a little love and time for the forthcoming Oxjam gig ( see here and here and here and ticket details here!!!).

There are lots of reason for this:

1)Louise the Oxjam Inverness organiser has a great enthusiasim and it is nearly infectious (not in a bad way)

2)The quality of the artists appearing are outstanding (and well documented see above)

3)Great value for only £6, and it’s all for a good cause!!!

4)Nostalgia, Raigmore Motel used to be one of the music venues of Inverness (Franz Ferdinand, Idlewild, Ocean Colour Scene etc etc). It would be great to see more live music back up their (and it certainly would be great to have the venue used more frequently again)

HOWEVER I digress!!! there is a preview/promotion of the event at the Oxfam shop, Inverness on the 16th of October (from 12md), when RG Hughson and Dion Davis play a few tunes that will be in their set.

So please get down and listen, and far more importantly get the tickets bought!!

A notefrom the editor

Support live music in Inverness by supporting IGigs! For over 10 years, IGigs has been showcasing the best of the local music scene through previews, reviews, photographs, and more. But maintaining the website incurs costs, and your support can help keep this invaluable resource alive.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
