18704480 300x224 - Ceol-Mor preview w/b 20/09For all those Loopallu hangovers there are a few treats in store at Ceol-Mor. Weekend starts as normal on Thursday( 23 rd) with Martin hosting the Rock Karaoke. On Friday and Saturday (24th and 25th) we have Gerry Jablonski & the Electric Band. Last time he came up it was clear that not only did a lot of the audience want to see him twice, but that word of mouth had grown and so did the audience.  The Band are described as “raw and honest talent……. an exciting showcase of rblending blues roots with the influences of Classic Rock Gerry and the boys make this a blistering powerhouse of a British Blues band “You can hear him here Breaking The Stones by Gerry Jablonski Band.

How do you end the weekend? On Sunday  (26th ) we have a great combination of Iain McLaughlin & the Outsiders (website here) and The Little Mill of Happiness. Local press have been singing the praises of Iain and the Outsiders and you have an opportunity to hear what they are going on about here Someone For Everyone by Iain McLaughlin & The Outsiders. Next week the Little Mill are supporting BSP at the Ironworks, but you have a fantastic opportunity to see them play in a more intimate setting.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
