Strathpeffer Pavilion have announced that pop rock act Toploader will be performing at the venue on the 1st of October 2021.

The band, which has sold over two million albums with a string of top 20 chart hits at home and abroad, is famous for the hugely popular single ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’. Whilst first album , 2000’s ‘Onkas big Moka”, was a huge hit going platinum three times, their second album ‘Magic Hotel’ reached number 3 in the album charts.

The band went on hiatus in 2003 before making a comeback in 2011 with Only Humanir?t=wwwinvernessg 21&l=as2&o=2&a=B004SGK278 - Dancing in the Moonlight (at the Pavilion). Single ‘This is the Night’ also earned significant airplay on BBC Radio 2. Having supported the likes of Robbie Williams, Noel Gallagher, Tom Jones, Simple Minds and Bon Jovi it is perhaps unsurprising that they have the reputation for being crowdpleasers.

I've always loved music and spent my late teens and early twenties playing guitar in various bands on Lewis and Aberdeen. Other than playing in some truly terrifying pubs in Aberdeen not much came of it and life became focused on family and having a 'proper' job. Inverness Gigs is an outlet for me to quell my inner frustrated musician and the caliber of local acts has even inspired me to take my own music more seriously again. Who knows, one day I might venture back on stage under the fierce scrutiny of an Inverness Gigs reviewer! You can contact Toby direct at Toby@Igi.gs
