Tamzene Announces New Single

Tamzene is to release new track “Count Your Days” in October, 2018.

Count Your Days’ is the follow up single to ‘Lullaby’ for Cromarty’s Tamzene. ‘Lullaby’ perfectly framed Tamzene’s voice and gave her the opportunity to showcase her vocal range, a vocal which made an audience sit up, listen and take notice. “Count Your Days’ on the other hand is about getting the audience up and moving.

PACK SHOT COUNT YOUR DAYS 768x768 - Tamzene Announces New Single

It’s bright, breezy and again lets Tamzene shine through. The difference is that you can feel a real energy, a power, emerging from this single. This is a very decent slice of pop which would appeal to fans of Jess Glynne, Ella Henderson, Louisa and dare I say it, Belladrum headliner, Paloma Faith.

This is main stage pop, and a repositioning that sits comfortable for Tamzene maintaining her soulful voice yet one that has potential to fill dancefloors.

If this is to be a change in direction for Tamzene it is a bold and positive one. In music you don’t stand still and this is a another step in that evolution from High Street busking showing a growing confidence and maturity.

Single will be released via normal digital platforms on the 12th of October.

Chartered surveyor by day, music reviewer by night, and occasionally I get to use my camera. A strange mix, but one that I enjoy. A chance meeting in the queue for Bella in 2010 led to the opportunity to write for InvernessGigs; a far cry from the days of writing for a football fanzine back in the late 80s, early 90s. My interests lie between the mainstream, the emerging and the local. Increasingly I find that we have more than enough locally to entertain us to necessitate a trip south. I’m always happy to give a listen, whatever the genre. Inverness has a plethora of talent, all of which I am more than keen to write about. If it encourages just one person to make the effort to listen to some new music I’ll be happy. You can contact Frank direct via frankieboyfin@gmail.com
