Mia Mackintosh has launched video for “She’s Resting With The Best of Them”.
The Nairn based acoustic singer/songwriter based in the Highlands came to music initially as a way of coping with the death of her grandparents, five years ago; “I found it very tough to deal with but I found music and writing songs gave me a focus to express my grief”.
Mia was part of Scottish Music Center’s Music Plus project last year which saw her work with musician, studio producer and engineer, Marc Clement. She certainly has been busy having played Findhorn Bay Arts , Belladrum and Groove festivals, whilst she has also won the ‘One to Watch’ award at Moray Firth Radio’s annual Community Awards Ceremony.
The new video features “She’s Resting With The Best of Them”, which was one of the three tracks on her EP release ‘Society’. The video is result of collaboration with Christy Kail , with Mia noting that they managed to “craft something that truly highlights the meaning behind this song.”
