FLOW International Festival of Photography comes to the north of Scotland in September.
Some good friends of Inverness Gigs have taken on the ambitious challenge of producing an international festival of photography. A genuine commitment to and love of the medium will see the launch of FLOW Photofest in September of this year. With venues in Inverness and throughout the north of Scotland you shouldn’t be too far from one of the many exhibitions that go to make up the festival.
Paul Campbell, Roddy McKenzie and Matt Sillars started off on the venture in February 2016 and have been joined by Rachel Fermi, Julia Kirk, Duncan Overmeer and James Roberts to bring the project home. For more information check out the festivals website at https://flowphotofest.co.uk/ or on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/flowphotofest/.
Meanwhile why not get involved – the festival is running an open competition and with it being only £12 for three entries the prize money of £500 is a seriously generous award. Beyond that, all shortlisted photographers will feature on the festival on-line gallery while the top ten competition entries will be printed, framed and exhibited at one of the festivals exhibition venues in Inverness. For information on how to enter go to – https://flowphotofest.co.uk/open-competition-2017/ . The competition closes on the 31st July, good luck!!
