Featherwest to play Inverness in February.
Describing themselves as “eccentric, indietronica meets wonky pop”, Featherwest admit to “Loving anything weird or parallel to mainstream, we make our very own slightly odd and off-centre sounds combined with lyrics that romanticise on less comfortable areas of the human condition. All in all we kinda wish we lived in Twin Peaks.”
The band are Glasgow based trio Ivona Glowinska (synth and vocals), Melanie Dutton (drums) and Ryan Denton (guitar and synth) and were initially borne out of a serendipitous meeting between Iwona and Ryan during the 5am police raid in Soho club Helean Troys.
Debut album ‘Home At Sea’ has been completed under the watchful eye of Chem 19s Paul Savage and is due for a release this year. Gigs in the UK and Europe beckon this year following headline slots in Aberdeen and Inverness.
