Main Street Blues Band to play Inverness in November.
Following on from their main stage slot at Belladrum 2016, Main Street Blues Band return to Inverness to play the One Touch theatre.
Hailing from the East of Scotland and based in Edinburgh they are described as having a powerful mix of high energy electric blues and funk, the band is fronted by Derek Smith who takes on vocals and lead guitar responsibilities. The bands influences, perhaps obviously, travel the blues spectrum from BB King to Mike Zito.
With Iain Rankin once describing them as “So tight you couldn’t slide a Rizla between them” the band’s achievements include consistently having full houses for the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival every year since 2012 and TV appearances on both STV and BBC. Rave reviews and strong positive audience response appear to be an ongoing trend for the band.
