Neon Waltz to play Inverness in September.
Playing their first gig in the area since December 2015, the Highland band Neon Waltz returns to the venue.
Working on the theory that absence makes the heart grow fonder, this contrasts with a sequence of high profile local festival gigs last year including Belladrum and The Gentlemen of the Road event.
Having what one reviewer commented as “tapped into the same vein of sixties indie pop that did so well for the likes of Oasis and The Charlatans”, the six piece’s brand of emotive rock has grabbed the attention of high profile music professionals.
With the well publicised deal with Atlantic being announced last year the band promised a debut album for the end of 2016, with their only previous release being ‘First Light’ a collection of material from pre signing to the label. Neon Waltz are emphatic that it will be true to their vision “We stood our ground about our own music, and it’s a good thing” said frontman Jordan Shearer of their relationship with the label. Reassuring words from a band that much is hoped for and who have a strong local support.
Neon Waltz to play Hootananny, Inverness on Thursday the 29th of September. Tickets available now online, via Beyond Presents website.
