A video filmed at Belladrum has hit thirty thousand views on social media.
The video was taken at the brand new Ice House Jazz ‘n Blues Stage with it’s unique styling, it has become a favourite with the Belladrum audience already.
As the rain began to come down on Saturday, that did not stop festival goers from dancing to the music of Dougie Burns and the Cadillacs. The blues band had been playing an number of gigs at the festival and the video caught a bit of the action while the band played one of their most popular tracks “California Cadillac“.
The video was opportunistically taken by harmonica player for the band and has reached the best part of thirty thousand plays via Facebook since it’s download the day after Belladrum.
On speaking to Dougie he was pleased about the success of the video saying;
“It was a real pleasure to play at Belladrum and we are so very pleased at the response to the video. We are in the middle of recording our new album so it is a real boost to know that so many people have enjoyed the video. With a little luck we might be invited back to the festival next year and have even more people dancing”.
Word has it that Festival organiser Joe Gibbs was seen in the audience tapping his toes to the tunes.
The new album will be out soon in time for their support slot with Nine Below Zero on 16th September in Eden Court Theatre (tickets here) and they will be undertaking a few gigs to promote the album during the Autumn (full details will be on the band’s Facebook page as they are announced).
