Bombskare to play Mad Hatters in August.
Boasting ‘Ferocious ska with a Scottish death reggae twist – like the Blues Brothers on speed, crossed with Madness on Prozac’. They were once well known for being a great band, now well known for being on the telly for being a great band after winning the BBC’s Best Part-time Band in Britain award.
Bombskare are renowned for their high octane sets, as anyone seeing them live recently at Belladrum 2016 can attest, which aided to by an always enthusiastic crowd. Way back in 2012 we asked Scott what was the secret to the loyal support the band had, he replied;
“That’s easy. Alcohol. And playing live – a lot. Seriously, we have no idea why people follow the band so loyally. Fan is short for fanatic, so I imagine the people that support us have mental health issues. What we do is a form of care in the community if you think about it. It’s a shame really. I blame Thatcher.”
Frontman Scott , being his normal charming and funny self, was kind enough to have a chat with us about the band for the IGigs podcast.
Bombskare plays Mad Hatters, Hootananny on the 19th of August. Free entry.
