April brings ‘Human Touch’

George Crosby to play Inverness in April.

Dubbed the “Indi Rick Astley” and is seen as one of the Best New Artists for 2016, George Crosby has been garner a significant amount of positive word of mouth. Quite impressive indeed for an act who has a single EP, ‘Human Touch’, under his belt, but it is indeed an impressive three tracks.

Cosby quotes influences ranging from Jeff Buckley, The National to Eddie Vedder it’s perhaps unsurprising that the Beat commented “His dark pop is brooding, it’s handsome, it’s got depth and it’s got soul – think Frankie Goes To Hollywood The Power of Love – it’s powerful stuff.”

The freshness of his approach is added to by his deftness of touch with lyrics, in an interview he noted “my songs are mainly about observations about things and relationships. Songwriting for me is the ultimate way to express any emotion.”

Whilst February saw George support Boy and Bear on their UK tour, his forthcoming  headlining solo tour will primarily take him round Scotland from Edinburgh to Ullapool.

The Beyond Presents promoted gig sees George Crosby play Eden Court on the 15th of April, tickets on sale via www.beyondpresents.co.uk.
