White for Hatters

White to play Mad Hatters, Inverness in February.

White recent bagged the breakthrough act of 2016 at the Scotland Music Awards, but it was 2014, when we  first caught the five piece (Loopallu 2014) where our reviewer observed that “They make a big noise and its an interesting draw on 80’s influences”.

Indeed they quote Orange Juice, Roxy Music, Gang of Four and the contemporary Franz Ferdinand among their influences.”Our whole approach..” , explains frontman Leo Condie in a Guardian interview, “is about making a bridge from the 70s via the early 80s to today.”

July saw their first single released ‘Future Pleasures’ which WTGR noted as “an infectious little number, worming its way into your consciousness and setting up camp”, the remix of the track by Prides also won plaudits.

White to play Mad Hatters, Inverness , as part of their ten date UK tour, on Thursday 18th February 2016. Tickets available now on-line.
