‘Hold On’ marks the second release from Scotland’s four piece alt/rock band and will also mark the first official video for the group.

The song is inspired by the need to have hope as Aaron reflects;

“The song was written about trying to escape from the daily routine we all live in, searching for solace, for a place you can truly feel free.

We all struggle with different things and situations in life and the mundane “wake up, work, eat and sleep” routine can wear us down. But there’s a bigger reason why we’re all here. We just need to wake up and see it.”

The song was Recorded at University of West of Scotland & Glachbeg Croft by Andrew MacGillivray, Steve Bull, Owen Wicksted and Shaun McNamee, mixed by Steve Bull and mastered by Iain Mclaughlin.

The video has been produced/directed by Steve Cardno who has previously worked with the likes of Billy Liar, Cleavers and Be Like Pablo.

“We knew it would be difficult to capture the raw emotion of the track and to portray it in video but as soon as Steve showed us the plans we were on board.” Michael Cappie on making the video.

Drummer Michael Cappie said; “The video is looking amazing, working with Steve Cardno has been a great experience for us.

We knew it would be difficult to capture the raw emotion of the track and to portray it in video but as soon as Steve showed us the plans we were on board. The mix of slow mo effects and big full band shots has really given us what we were looking for and compliments our track fantastically.”

The release of ‘Hold On’ marks a strong start for the Scottish band for 2015 that already includes festival bookings and the promise of their debut EP.

2014 was a good year for Silver Coast with the successful release of debut ‘Believe‘ receiving support from the likes of BBC Radio’s Tom Morton and Daily Record’s Rick Fulton whilst also getting the opportunity to play throughout Scotland.

“Hold On” will be available via iTunes, Spotify and Amazon on the 26th of January, with the video being released the same week. Keep track of Silver Coast via Facebook and their website.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene.In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
