Luke Concannon springs up for April

Luke Concannon and his “soul fired, folk hip-hop” is to play Mad Hatters on the 3rd of April.

Luke is probably best known for being part of Nizlopi ,along with John Parker, who brought the world the ‘JCB Song’ which is as addictive as it is poignant charting Luke’s experience of dyslexia and the support of his father.

Inspired by his recent hitching mission in Palenstine, his most recent album, ‘Give it All’ was described by The Volt as “a beautiful album full of happiness, sadness and honesty and it swept me away”.

Describing the live performances his press release states, with a charm and a smile, “These  gigs are passionate life or death struggles to ‘give everything’ and to engage the people in an act of celebration and dissolution in to music, and also a struggle to play the right notes in time.”

There is more to Concannon than the JCB song, but we can’t resist.

Support for the night of free music comes from Kat Healy.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
