Casual Sex, the Glasgow based band, described by The Guardian as “They might be the best Scottish indie band since Franz Ferdinand” comes to Mad Hatters on Thursday March 6th.

This is a great opportunity to catch one of the hottest acts in the country before the band go to SXSW in Austin, Texas, in this warm up show put on by the venue and Netsounds Unsigned.
Casual Sex made a number of festival appearances in the Inverness area last year, gracing the stages at Gonorth in June, the Seedlings stage at Belladrum Festival, and also at the Black Isle Brewery’s Jocktoberfest. Read Paul Lester’s feature for The Guardian here when they were featured as a band of the day.
In 2013 they toured North America supporting Franz Ferdinand and their set at CMJ in New York was named as one of the 10 best gigs of 2013 by The Wall Street Journal alongside John Cale and Paul McCartney. Casual Sex are on Facebook and here’s their first single Stroh 80 to whet your appetite.
Support comes from Lionel, seen at Go North and Belladrum, and newly formed Bite Night who are already making an impression coming through their first round at the Eagle Battle of the Bands.
Tickets, priced £5, go on sale from 10 a.m. Wednesday January 15th from Hootananny (01463 233651) and online from www.scottish.ticketsource.co.uk
