8 heroes in the form of The Mathletics Team venture to Mad Hatters on November the 16th, 2013.

The origins of the eight piece are described as being “Based in an undisclosed Scottish mountain, The General gathered to him: a mad scientist, a time travelling norseman, the universe’s finest escape artist, a crow, a super villain, a hillbilly holy man and a human super computer.”

A strong character driven Rock N Roll heart has seen the octet play T in the Park on a couple of occasions, although we believe it to be their first trip to Inverness.

Catching them last year for Bluesbunny, Peter McGee observed “Combining elements of metal with big band perversions may, in some circles, be frowned upon, but this group do it with style. Weird and wonderful!”

Expect chaos and fun and rock and roll, in what proportions we are not quite sure !

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
