Whilst reaching cult status, The Beta Band disband in 2004. Steven has gone on to work under various guises (including King Biscuit Time and Black Affair). His 2010 release ‘Boys Outside’  received a warm welcome from The Guardian who summarised;  It is “…not just a work that can finally measure up to [Beta Band’s] The Three EPs, but is a sign of a “bold new start”. His most recent release, ‘Monkey Minds In The Devil’s Timeir?t=wwwinvernessg 21&l=as2&o=2&a=B00AQSF3JE - Steve Mason for the Ironworks’ was equally well received and marks a return to a more experimental and politically challenging listen.

You can see more about Steven at his website www.stevemasontheartist.com.

Tickets will be on sale via The Ironworks.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
