The Imagineers are to play Mad Hatters, Inverness, on the 30th of March.

Heading north for the evening  from “sunny” Glasgow are The Imagineers. They are no strangers to our area of hills and rivers, bringing their Latin-inspired rhythms and vocal melodies to Inverness. Their performances in the area include a supporting slot for Ash, inclusion in the goNORTH line-up and festival appearances at BFest and Loopallu.

Following on from  “See I Say “, November saw the release of  “Karma Soundcheck Part 1” which shows a distinct development in style becoming  more saturated with clever lyrics and guitar licks than the previous. Indeed New Hell Fire Club commented that “as long as they keep bringing out fantastic tunes such as the ones to be found on their new EP Karma Soundcheck Pt. 1, then their fan-base will continue to grow exponentially”.

The band’s rise in stature appeared to be cemented by a performance on the highly rated, American Late Late Show, along with strong support from the show’s host Craig Ferguson. They were also named as one of “The Magnificent Seven” (one’s to watch) in The Sun at the beginning of 2013.

The band have announced that it will be one of only 2 Scottish shows they will be playing this year (Along with 5th April in Glasgow), their appearance at Mad Hatters on the 30th of March is surely one not to be missed.

Short and colour blind.. All the best traits of gig photographer. My background is playing music. Multi-instrumentalist, but mainly a bass guitar player. I spent years playing bass for Last Summer Effect but after we split up in late 2013, I have now moved on to play bass for Spoke Too Soon. I study Music Technology at university, and photograph/write for Inverness Gigs when ever I am back home.
