Winner of best singer at the Brittish Jazz Awards, Lianne Carroll, at Cromarty Old Brewery on Friday the 2nd of November.
Established as the finest solo jazz cabaret performer ever to emerge in Britain, Lianne Carrol was described by Time Out as “Swinging like hell one minute, brutally expressive and heart breakingly tender the next…….. utterly brilliant”. She has toured with Gerry Rafferty and Long John Baldry with her collaboration Scottish jazz pianist Brian Kellock being touted as possibly the greatest double act in British Jazz by The Herald.
Pulling big crowds for her performances at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, she also plays regularly at the 606 Club, in Chelsea. Lianne is currently finishing off an album of ballads which is due out in early 2013.
She will be joined by renowned vocalist Sophie Bancroft and ,one third of The Passion, Sara Coleman.
