The party caps a busy year up at the farm in 2012 that has seen a more focussed venue grow it’s festival roster with the addition of Brew at The Bog and winning the award for “Best Unusual Venue in Scotland”.

Following on from the success of last year’s sold-out event three bands from different genres, but with a very Scottish slant, will be helping celebrations go with a bang.

The Highland Ceilidh Band will bring a traditional feel to proceedings, with the promise of “a right good hoolie!” and a few familiar faces. The Whisky River Band will be returning to the venue after their successful album launch earlier in the year. Their brand of folk rock with a contemporary heart continue to enthral audiences. Last on the bill are Niteworks (NOT their name sakes who work in partnership between the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), including the Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (Dstl), and industry!)the Glasgow based band with a their home, Skye, very much in their hearts. Fusing Gaelic and electronic stylings whilst betraying neither, Niteworks will ensure that the party will keep on going after the bells.

Bogbain Hogmanay tickets are available from £18, further information is available from the same link.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me direct at
