Inverness Gigs launches it’s new look to take forward the website and the Inverness Gigs community.

IG Flyer Low Res 02 thumb - Inverness Gigs re-launches

Over the last eight months we have been struggling with the website and fighting fires to ensure it keeps running. The website has been struggling to keep up with demand, the sheer amount of content and our limited knowledge of website management. Subsequently we have been working with award-winning digital agency Canary Dwarf to update, rebuild and generally create a new fresh look for Inverness Gigs. The result is an new take on the website that will endeavour to give the thriving music scene of Inverness the website it deserves. The next few weeks will see a few tweaks along the way and any feedback of the site can be sent to us direct at Inverness Gigs (InvernessGigs@gmail.com).

As part of the redesign we have been working with the amazingly talented and patient Tim Latham of Sodium3 to create a new logo for the website, the feedback for which has been very positive. It’s fair to say you will be seeing a lot of the logo around the place.

We would also like to take the opportunity to apologise for not working at a hundred per cent this has meant we have let people down and not provided the coverage that we would have wanted. Subsequently we want to thank you guys for sticking with us and here’s to the future of Inverness Gigs.

A notefrom the editor

Support live music in Inverness by supporting IGigs! For over 10 years, IGigs has been showcasing the best of the local music scene through previews, reviews, photographs, and more. But maintaining the website incurs costs, and your support can help keep this invaluable resource alive.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
